THE QUEEN’S SYMPATHY
When the King was so seriously ill the Queen learned about a little girl who was lying in a hospital at Isleworth suffering from the same complaint as his Majesty, and in the midst of her anxiety the Queen wrote to the little girl and sent her some lovely flowers to be placed beside her bed. The little patient has died, and when the Queen was told, her Majesty at once had a letter of sympathy sent to the grieving mother. The Queen's sympathy for those in trouble is one of the most beautiful traits in her fine character, it is so deeply genuine and sincere.
