The Town hall was crowded for the bout and tho spectors were very disappointed at its sudden termination. Hay did practically all tho attacking and was well ahead on points. In fact, it looked as though he might win by a knock-out.

Hay has challenged Jim Broadfoof. for the light heavy-weight title.
