TRAMPER COLLAPSES AND DIES.
BODY BROUGHT OUT UNDER ARDUOUS CONDITIONS.
(By Telegraph—Press A teociation.) NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. William Clement Allen, aged Yl, died, apparently of exhaustion on Mt. -Eg* mont late on Sunday afternoon. HV collapsed near ‘‘Humphries Castle” outlie return trip to North Egmont from, a tramp. His companion, W. Groombridge, descended to the mountainhouse for help. When the rescuers arrived, Allen was found to have moved. and slipped from the track, and Msdead body was lying with the bead downhill. Heavy rain and a difficult track made the journey in the dark to the house arduous, taking till 10.3t‘ p.m.
