Pictkievicz, a young Pole, caused a sensation at the national athletic mooting, running three kilometres in Bmin. 5 l-ssecs., beating Nurmi, the Finn, who is resuming foot-racing after a year’s cessation, by a yard.
Nurmi, however, beats Pietkievicz in The four-mile race by 30 yards, his time being 19min. 35see.
