BRITAIN AFTER NEW RECORD.,
ITALIANS MAY ALSO MAKE FURTHER ATTEMPT. A DESERVED WIN. (By Telegraph-Press Assn. -Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 8. 'The Schneider Cup victory 'does not represent the goal of Britain’s air speed hopes. It is learned that a new attempt will be made on Tuesday at a world’s record over a straight course. The machine will be the S 6, which was used, by Flying-Officer Waghorn, winner of the Schneider trophy and it will be piloted by Orlcbar. A new Gloster Napier, not used in Saturday’s race, will be tried out by Stainforth, and, in the event of it proving satisfactory, it will also attempt the record. The Italians are busily packing up at Calshot. It is likely that an attempt at the record will be made at their «wn training course at Nice. Reviewing the race with a critical .®ye, Major Turner, in the Daily Telegraph, says: “The British machines and engines won because they deserved do. The Italian engines failed because dhey could not sustain a full throttle for more than a few minutes.
