RIOT AT ANTI VIVISECTION MEETING.
STUDENTS TAKE CHARGE, AFTERWARDS DANCING IN PICCADILLY CIRCUS (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Gopyright.) LONDON, Juno 21. Two hundred uproarious medical students created pandemonium at a Gaston hall meeting, at which supporters of the abolition of vivisection were to speak. The chairman, Dr. Dawden, was shouted down. Singing and a free fight marked the proceedings till the interrupters were thrown out, some being taken to the police station. The meeting closed with women screaming among the wrecked chairs. Police cleared the street and the students marched off after they had prevented any (speech-making ,to 'Jjra'f aQ£ar ■ Square and ended the evening by dancing for half an hour in Piccadilly Circus, with straws in their hair. As a sequel to the Caxton Hall rag, taxi-cab loads of students, filled the, Westminster Police Court when Norman Richardson, a dental student, was charged with assaulting Frederick ThreadgoM, an elderly inter, whom lie had picked up and dropped on the floor.
