YOUTHS IN TROUBLE.
ONE STRUCK GIRL ON HEAD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. In the ’ Supreme Couit, Air Justice Smith sentenced Ernest Wide, aged ID, to throe years’ Borstal detention for striking a girl at Tirnaru on the head with an iron pipe. Counsel said that the accused’s trouble was mental. Clarence Vernon Alills, a youth, for attempted breaking and entering at Waimate, was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to pay costs.
