TIMBER WORKERS’ NEW UNION
ALII RADY ASSURED OF MEMBERSHIP OF 1500 PIECEWORK ENCOURAGED. Received Sunday, 7 p.m. SYDNEY, June 18. It is rumoured that a secret meeting of volunteer timber workers is being held to-day and may result in the formation of a new union, registering as a separate industrial body, with a membership of .1500. It is believed this is already assured. The system of piecework and payment by results will be encouraged.
