El Glaoui, lord over the Atlas Mountains and the most powerful ruler south of Morocco, who commands a million soldiers, has renewed the French fidelity pledge The French Government considers this invaluable. Preparations are being made at Aityaoub for the- inhabitants to retreat if the rebels attack strongly, thus preventing a massacre. (Received This Dav, 12.15 p.m.) PA R IS, June 14. The situation in Morocco has materially improved. Artillery and aerial bombardments routed the rebels at Yakoub, the environs of which were cleared of rebels, who returned to the mountains.
