BENZINE THIEVES.
GARAGE PROPRIETOR KNOCKED
ON HEAD,

Mr Walker, of Smith and Walker, garage proprietors, who lives in an adjoining house, heard suspicious noises at midnight on Saturday, and crept in to investigate. He received a stunning blow on the head and lost consciousness. His wife became anxious and found him huddled on the ground. He recovered consciousness, but w r as dazed and incoherent. Nothing was missing except the screw cap of a benzine tank. Mr Walker had the keys of the safe in his pocket, and there was a big sum of money iu the safe. Benzine thieves are suspected.
