Limerick Fails in Rawson Stakes WINALOT FINISHES BRILLIANTLY. Received Sunday, 7 p.m, SYDNEY, March 17. At the Eosehill races, the RAWSON STAKES resulted:— WINALOT, 9.0 1 LOQUACIOUS, 8.1 2 LIMERICK, 8.13 ........ 3 Six started. The pace was slow at the commencement, Golden Music showing the way to Loquacious, Limerick and Oatendalo. Upen entering the straight, Galadeer was in front, leading Loquacious and Limerick. Winalot, finishing brilliantly, rushed up on the outside and won by a length, with Limerick three-quarters of a length away, third. Galadeer was fourth. Time, 1.54. The newspapers contend that the idea that Limerick has recovered fron his former brilliance is exploded aftej yesterday’s race. Interference to whicf he was subjected near the seven fun; longs post made no difference, while Winalot is clearly an improved horse.
