The latest report received by Xr Brophy, second in command of tin' Byrd expedition, is that Eleanor Boi ling is approaching the New Zealand coast at top speed. "I have been in constant tone 1 : with the vessel,'" said Mr. Brophy. "and have issued instructions that every ounce of speed that can be go' out of the ship must be obtained, so that she shall roach Dunodin on February 14', instead of on the following day. Eleanor Boiling must, be away again 3(5 hours after her arrival. During that time, the vessel will load 500 tons of gear, including an aeroplane, motor enr, 5000 gallons of benzine and 4000 gallons of other oils. Every minute counts now," he said in conclusion. Mr. Brophy will leave Auckland to-night or to-morrow morning for Wellington and Dunedin.
