TARANAKI'S CHIEF PORT.
BIG CARGO LANDED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. A cargo of 5500 tons, inclucTir.g 500 tons of general merchandise from London, was brought by the new mot.orship Port Alma. This is the largest direct overseas shipment to reach New Plymouth for several years. The vessel will load a considerable quantity of dairy produce and meat.
