Continued fine weather and a large attendance of willing bettors, together with the excellent racing, that invoked real enthusiasm, in tide the Pahiatua Racing Club’s annual meeting of 1920 one of the best of recent years. The tote put through £14,702, againsr £8230 for the second day last year, and the total for the meeting was £29,132, against £17,020 last year, an increase of £11,211, almost a iecord percentage increase for a country club racing on its home course.
