TWO TRAMPERS STILL MISSING

On Saturday and yesterday searchers for two missing lads, Park and Morpeth, returned from the high country without news of any traces of them being found. The Arahura River and the sea beach arc now under close observation. The ages of Park and Morpeth are 19 and 18 respectively and both are familiar with campingput conditions. AERIAL SEARCH UNAVAILING. (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. T. M. Wilford announced to-day that he had received advice that two planes from Christchurch had conducted a further search on Saturday. The search was without result, hazy conditions making anything but vertical observations difficult. The Minister stated he had expressed his appreciation of the actions of the airmen who had' done everything that was necessary and had advised them that further risks were not to be taken.
