GOVERNMENT OF SYDNEY.
REVERSION TO CITY COUNCIL DESIRED. (By Telegraph-Prosa Assn.-Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Civil reformers and Nationalists have urged the premier, Mr Bavin, to provide for the election of a new City Council at the end of the year when the present term of the City Commiss ion expires.
The Greater Sydney scheme, foreshadowed in thq Premiers * policy speech, promises to be very contentious when brought before the Nationalist Party.
s There is another section of Nationalist and Labour supporters who contend that the term of the Civil Commissioners shbuld be extended for another period of years to enable them to complete the good work which they have commenced.
