LEVIN DENTAL CLINIC.
THE SUBSIDY APPROVED. Preparations are going’ .steadily forward for the opening of the State Dental clinic in Levin in March. As a result of the application made by th* local School Committee, the Wellington Education Board had sketch plans of the building prepared just before the holidays, though the Supervisor of Buildings (Mr G. Powell) had a great deal of w'ork on hand in connection with the present year’s building programme. These plans went with the application for a subsidy to the Education Department, and this morning, Mr A. W. Hutchings, chairman of the Levin District High School Committee, received information from Mr J. Linklator, M.P., that the Minister for Education (Hon. 11. Atmorc) hud advised him that the subsidy was approved and the money would bo available on March Ist.
As soon as specifications are prepared tenders will be called and the work of erecting the building, which comprises a surgery, waiting room and nurse's room, will bo put in hand.
