Brazier left for the Bluff en route to Melbourne, where he will ask for the surrender and return to New Zealand of John Black Batchelor, ' f bankrupt Christchurch solicitor. Batchelor was arrested in Melbourne on January 7, six months after his departure from this country. In August a warrant was issued for his arrest for the alleged theft of £9BO.
