LEAGUE OF NATIONS FINANCE.
SUPERVISORY COMMISSION .TO BE ELECTED BY ASSEMBLY. ■ . (Bv Telegraph-Press* Assn.-Copyright.) (Australian Press Assn; and Sun.) .Received this day, 10.10 a.'m. .• , GENEVA, September 20. The only concrete result, of the long but vain struggle to cut down the Budget was M. Hambro’s success to-day* by 13 votes to 6 in ''transferring' the election- of the Supervisory Commission from 'the Council to the Assembly. He raised the point that no Par-, liairient allowed its Cabinet to appoint a finance committee. Similarly the Assembly of 44 nations should have control; and not “the 14 comprising the Council. ■
