Amid the cheers of a big crowd the Niagara sailed to-day with the Aus-tralian-Scottish party, the New Zealand bowlers, and Lord Lovat aboard. The Australians sang the favourite old songs to the onlookers and were given a great send off. She carried '479 passengers and a cargo 0f.3700 tons of apples, onions, Salmon and lumber.
