FOR FAVOURABLE CONSIDERATION.
SUPERANNUATION PROPOSAL REFERRED TO BOROUGH FINANCE COMMITTEE.
The Mayor of Levin, announced at the Council meeting last evening that the special committee set up by Council had secured a quantity of information on the subject of superannuation. At a meeting on Friday evening the committee fully agreed with a scheme and they recommended that it be referred to the Finance Committee for favourable consideration. It would not be right to ask the Council to adopt a scheme with which they were not all acquainted. The information was confidential at present, but it would be considered at a meeting of the Finance Committee, which embraced the whole Council. His Worship then moved that the proposal be referred to the Finance Committee for favourable consideration.
The motion was seconded by Cr. Fal loon and carried.
