ELECTION PROSPECTS.
LABOUR MAY CONTEST BAY OF PLENTY. MR LYSNAR, M.P., INDEPENDENT ■ CANDIDATE FOR GISBORNE. (By Telegraph— Press Association). GISBORNE, This Day. Though it is generally expected that Mr D. W. Coleman will represent the Labour interests at the forthcoming elections for the Gisborne seat, the local Representation Committee, following the formal course, is calling for nominations from affiliated Unions. The suggestion that the Labour Party may select a candidate to challenge the Hon. K. S. Williams, Minister of Public Works, for the Bay of Plenty seat, has aroused mild interest, but the Representation Committee is not committed to this course as yet. Mr W. D. Lysnar has announced that standing for Gisborne as an Independent, as on,former occasions.
