FORGED SAVINGS BANK RECEIPTS (By Telegraph- -Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Four charges of forging Post Office Savings Bank receipts and causing them to be acted upon as genuine were preferred against Gordon Lewis Keene, aged 33,,- in the Magistrate’s Court today. The amount involved was £l9l. Ernest Alfred Anderson stated that he left, his bank book at the office of Sir Kenneth Douglas, where the accused was eimdoyed. Some time later he called to' collect the book, but it could not 1m found. The accused admitted stealing the book. He stated that he was pressed for money. He was committed for sentence.

When Sydney Lambert Roach married Alary’Veronica Mizpah Parker, at Wellington in 1926, he committed bigamy, for he had already married Florence Maude Parkcs in Cornwall, England, in 1921. The accused, w-ho pleader guilty at the S.M. Court to-day, said that his first marriage had been an unhappy one. He was committed for sentence.
