EXPORT BUTTER AND CHEESE.

HIGH GRADING ACHIEVEMENT. The N.Z. Journal of Agriculture contains particulars of the grading results of dairy produce during the past year. The names are published of all factories that have obtained an average grade of 93 points or over for the dairy year, August Ist, 1926, to July 31st, 1927. Last year the lists included all factories with an average grade of <D2 points and over, but it has now been decided to limit publication to averages of 93 points and upwards. It is satisfactory to note the improvement in quality of both butter and cheese during the past year. Thirtyone more butter factories and 48 cheese factories have reached the 93 points and over class this year as compared with' the 1926 lists. ' ■ Butter. Si,xty-six factories ■ .manufacturing butter, out of the 160 in the Dominion, reached the honours class, and Levin was sixth on the list, a fact that more than any show table awards, demonstrates the high uniform quality of the local product.
