Date-Bran Bread. Tw.o cups bran, two cups White flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 3 ,taiblespoons sugar, 4 teaspoons baking powder, two-thirds cup date's cut in small pieces, li cups milk, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons melted fat. Place paper on baking tins, put the meringue mixture, into a forcing bag or syringe with a large rose funnel. Force it out on the paper in a circle, then dry until set in just a warm oven. Then when quite c,old cut the meringues between the two sections and insert a teaspoonful of lemon cheese and a teaspoonful of whipped cream. Garnish with glace cherries or candied lemon peel.
