WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. “THE NECESSARY EVIL.” A new type of screen “vamp" will be seen at the De Luxe Theatre on Wednesday and Thursday night, when First National’s latest picture, “The Necessary Evil,’’ is offered as the feature attraction. Heretofore screen vamps have been tall, dark, slender, willowy, cold and But in “The Necessary Evil” motion picture fans will see a vamp who upsets the motion picture vamping traditions. She is Alary 'Thurman—fair, and inclined towards plumpness. Instead of haughtiness and coldness, she is cheerful, light and of the type that suggests colour and warmth. The-two principal players in "The Necessary Evil,” winch is a problem story, and shows father and son competing for the love ot a woman, are Ben Lyon and Viola Dana, and the cast includes Frank Mayo, Thomas Holding and Gladys Brockwell. The De Luxe Symphony Orchestra will render musical numbers. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. ZANE GREY’S CODE OF THE WEST.
