PERSONAL.
The death occurred on August U, at Halherton, Devon, England, of Alexander Charles Hadfleld, eldest surviving son of the late Bishop Hadfleld, Primate of New Zealand. Mr B, M. Armstrong, of the local Post Office staff, was presented by the combined post and telegraph staff, with a silver teapot and hotwater jug on the occasion, of his recent marriage. Mr Magee, postmaster, made the presentation, complimentary references also being made by other members of the staff, to which the recipient made an apt response.
