200,000 DOLLAR RANSOM. SAN FRANCISCO August 13. iA telegram from Los Angeles says Claude Holcome and C. Z. Stephens were convicted by the Superior Court of conspiring to kidnap Mary Pickford and hold her for two hundred thousand dollars ransom. A third was acquitted. The men were arrested last May, after what the police declared had been a series of conferences, at which they discussed the kidnapping of a film celebrity. Miss Pickford was agreed upon because she had two hundred thousand dollars in her own name. Before the plana matured, the men \Vere arrested. Sentence was deferred. KIDNAPPERS SENTENCED.
