LINCOLN BREED.
RETURNING TO FAVOUR. MASTERTON. Last Night. The annual meeting of the Lincoln Sheep Breeders’ Association of New Zealand, was held here to-day. The annual repart stated that after several years of declining demand, the Lincoln breed was again gaining favour and a sound export trade had been established with the Argentina Last year eighty rams were consigned to that, country, while this season to date 56 rams and 17 ram hoggets had been exported, while further inquiries had been received for hoggets. The following officers were elected: President: Mr W. Perry (Masterton), •vice-president: Mr R. Bremer (Waverley); treasurer; Mr D. McGregor (Masterton): Council: Messrs. G. V. Smith (Gisborne), W. H. Gaisford (Dannevirke), A. D. McMaster (Featherston), and 'W. H. Wyburn (Whenuakura) The meeting recommended to the Council to instruct inspectors to enforce a high standard in the quality of stock before passing them for export.
