Another faultlessly dressed man, with perfect 'manners, victimised a iiumber of West End antique dealers to the extent of thousands of pounds. Posing as Mr David Glucksteln, of Lyons and Company, he purchased a large quantity [of Queen Anne furniture and silver, allegedly on behalf of Lord Beading. In one he paid for silver with a "dud” cheque stolen from a tradesman’s chequebook, the dealer being satisfied with the cheque because it was drawn on his own bank. Another dealer was so delighted with the business done that he opened a bottle of 1911 champagne and celebrated the deal. Twenty detectives are now tracking the man, who has so far eluded pursuit
