A RACING ACCIDENT.
MB LESLIE MCDONALD INJURED. A rather serious accident befell Mr Leslie McDonald, of Hcatherlea, at the Marlon races yesterday. He was riding Notawede iu the Ladies' Bracelet when his mount fell, breaking its neck. Mr McDonald was pinned muter the horse, and some minutes elapsed before lie could be extricated. *ie was recovered in an unconscious condition and motored to the Palmerston North Hospital, where it was ascertained lie was suffering from severe concussion and had some ribs broken. On making inquiry this morning U was staled that- Mr McDonald was still unconscious, but tbeie was a slight improvement in his condition.
