LEVIN BAND CONCERT

ON FRIDAY EVENING. Froii‘ every point of view the Levin Rand Concert on Friday evening pi'"niisos i i be a huge success. The programme will perhaps be the finest submitted io a Levin audience for a long time past, and should nol bo missed by all who enjoy the highest form of artistry. The major portion of the programme will be supplied by'the well known Melody Four, of Wellington, who will be assisted by Mrs Kilsby with a vocal solo, “An Oldfashioned House," a recitation by Mr Byron Brown, find a Shakespearian recital by Messrs. Brown and Atmore. The Melody Four appeared at the. Commercial Travellers’ concert at Palmerston on, Saturday' last, and in commenting on their performance, a Palmerston paper says: “Special mention must be made of the exceptionally talented singing of the Melody Four (Messrs. E. W. Lewis, F. V. Blandford, R. S. Alhvright and F. W. Laycock). Aptly named, the quartette early established favouritism and sustained it joyously from an apparently inexhaustible supply of music ranging from coon songs fo classical ballads.” .
