IMPOSED ON INSURANCE COMPANY
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, August 4. At the .Magistrate’s Court to-day, Win. Edward Parker was charged with having attempted to obtain £l4 Us from the New Zealand Insurance Co. by falsely representing that as a result of an accident on the steamer Rama, he had been totally incapacitated and was unable to work for a period.. He told the company he had done ho work since the accident, Whereas, as a matter of fact, he had worked on the steamer* Kennedy. A fine of £lO, afterwards reduced to £7 on the appeal of counsel, was imposed.
