The Gee Whiz, hoewver, soon made up her leeway, and was leading at the end of.the round, T ,hc Sealady being next, followed by the Kotuku and Tui. In the next rounu the Kotuku passed the Sealady, and m the last lap the positions were unchanged, the Gee Whiz winning by about two minutes from the Kotuku, with the same margin between her and the Sealady. This was the first spin of Mr France's new boat, which measures 13 feet over all, with sf£ sin beam. ' She is an improvement n model over the flatty type, and when thoroughly tried out should prove a smart performer.
