PUSHFUL JAPANESE.
-Established in Siberia. CHINESE PROTESTS, (By Electric Telegraph--Copyright.) (Per Press Association.) (Received This Day, 8.35 a.m.) Tokio, January 26. The Chinese Foreign Minister telegraphed to the Japanese! Foreign Office Hie withdrawal of the Japanese troops from Siberia, and declaring thoeir presence in Vladivostock is highly improper. He charges the Japanese forces with opposing the establishment of administrative organisation,„and consequently the citizens suffer from bandits. He also declares the Japanese protecting Seminoff’s troops are preventing the working of the new Russian railways, and interfering with the movements of Russian officials. Replying to questions in the Diet regarding the withdrawal of the Japanese troops, Gov emmet, spokesmen declared they were unable to withdraw until political conditions were settled and the danger of the ilolshevisation of Korea and Manchuria was dissipated.
Japanese Sentry’s Act. KILLS AN AMERICAN OFFICER . (Received This Day, 8.35 a.m.) Washington, January 26. Japan has acknowledged receipt of the American Note in reference to the shooting of Lieutenant Langdon rnd will reply when the present investigation is completed. The Navy Department is informed that the American Naval Court of Inquiry found Langdon blameless, and that he was subjected to an unwarranted attack by a sentry. General Oi has warned Divisional Staff officers that their sentries must use greater precautions to prevent a similar incident. American Barriers. AGAINST JAPANESE INFLUX.
