MOTOR ACCIDENTS

Sir,—Strange it is that if a man is wanted to attend to even the smallest kind of engine, he must possess a certificate, vet any child is allowed to drive (save the mark) a motor-ear. it is about time the Government awoke to its obvious duty and passed regulations irr posing stringent tests on -all drivers of motor-cars before they are allowed to perform 1o the public danger. AYithout counting or referring to cases that may be sub judice. three, if not four serious accident have occurred this week and soon it will he unsafe for the pedestrian to venture abroad.
