' I Only 384 ouit of the 1132 persbns 011 the roll took the trouble to record their { votes. The four members of tta old Council, Messrs Broome. Ryder, Macl;i ny.ie and Parker, were again returned to office, and among the new aspirants tu office, Messrs Goldsmith. Keedwc.ll, Hobson, Tliomson and Harvey were, successful in being included in the 1 iirsc nine. The arrangements for the poll wore efficiently carried out by .the I'otiirninjrr Officer, Mr B. R.
