A send-off was given to two members of the Levin Worbingmen's Club in tlie cllubroom last night. TIIO members were Messrs J. Hannan and 1?. T. MdDotiald. Mr J. ■ Procter occupied the oh'air and there was a liirge number of visitors and members present. After the usual loyal toasts had been drunk, Mr W. on behalf of fellow-members, wished the departing guests Godnspeed and sale return. He stated that ihie had known these young men from childhood, and they had grown up 'sports' in the true meaning of the word. Mr Brougihftcwi also mentioned, tjhat (Mr iHannan had two brothers a,t the front and one in oamp, while Mr McDonald had two brothers in France and one just returned. Two returned soldiers (Messrs Mbirgan and Bailey) also xpoko and gave helpful advice to the departing soldiers, the former remarking that the advice of the soldiery early in the field was to keep their heads down, and lie hoped tlhey would follow this advice. Both guests replied feelingly, expressing the hope tliafl they would return soon, and ihiave as good a, time as they were ha/ving that night. During the efvening songs were sung by Messns Morgan (2), Pio, Hopa, 'Noble, Barnett, Walker, while recitations and stories were given by Messrs Morgan, Piiime, McDonald, and Procter. Messrs Walker, Moiigan and Pio officiated' at the piano.
