Private A. A. McDonald arrived home in Levin to-day, invalided from England. Private Harwood, another Levin man, who returned to-day has had the misfortune to lose an arm. Grazing is wanted for a quiet horse. For i>:u-ticulars jsce advertisement on page 3. The Ohau 'Bed Cross shop day on Tuesday next, the 28th in)st., promises to oo veryi successful. Donations of various kinds of farm produce and cakds, etc., are coming in, hut there ■is room for further Jiolp 'for thi.s worthy object. Buyers will also find their wantla supplied at reasonable pried?, and being sale day it is hoped that country patrons will come .along as well, as residents of the town. The Ohau branch of the Red Cross Society hafe been working steadily for a long time, and now to replenish its exchequer tin's "shop-day" in Levin ig being held.
