ORDINARY FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. l-fcvin Borough Council met last liiglit, Mr. C. Blenkliorn (mayor) in the chair. There also were present Councillors 10. >S. Lancaster, T. Broome, it. Urynon, K. Ail'ken, F. E. Parker, W. Bull, D. S. Mackenzie. An apology for absence, due to temporary indisposition, was received from Co ull t ill or Math teson. Napier Borough Council forwarded its resolution in favor of nationalisation of New Zealand's food supplies, with a request that the council would join in a memorial to the Government, to the end that the cost of living might be reduced. On the motion of the mayor ~seconded by Councillor Lancaster, the letter was "received.'' A draft agreement for inclusion of Horowh-enua County in the Palmerston Hospital District wa« considered bv the council, and it was proposed by the mayor and .seconded by Councillor Laneasier that the sea! of the council lie affixed to t.bo agreement.
