The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report having held their usual weekly sale at Levin on Friday. 20th in.st.. and offered a small entry of (sheep and a good yarding of cattle. We quote: 2-tooth. CHAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT. W. Bull and Co. report:—There is "o sign of a. decline in prices of grain, with the exception of oats, which have eased slightly during the past week. This does not apply to Algerian seed as this cereal is greatly sought after: and the price asked by merchant* and growers is prohibitive. Oaten sheaf chaff is still firm at current prices. Barley is getting very scarce and stocks are likely to run out. We still hold a fail- quantity on hand. PiV meal I,(n y being called for.
