Lamb.—Lamb continues in active demand, mid the market is hrm with hardening tendency. Other than Canterbury 7|d; and as high as 8d for best quality; second grade 7|d.

Butter.—The market is very quiet, and prices are irregular. Danish, slow, per cwt. 140s to 1435; New Zealand quiet and prices easier 136s to

138s, occasionally 140s; Australian 132 a to 1365; Siberian, a lair demand 130s to 134s ; Argentine, slow 132s to 13(35. Cheese—The market remains firm on Government- buying, but the general demand is quiet. Canadian. firm. white and coloured, per cwt.. 94s to 96s ; New Zealand, quiet, white and coloured 93s to 945; Australian 89s to 925; States a fair demand, 88s to 945.

Hemp.—The market is firm and prices continue to advance. The market is active for future delivery. New Zealand good fair grade per ton £34 10s. fair £32 10s; fair current Manila. £40. Forward shipments: New Zealand good fair £35; fair £33; fan- current Manila £40 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 24,000 bales. Wheat.—The market is inactive, and holders are more willing to sell. Prices are nominal.
