4—— ~ (f NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE DISTRIBUTING CO., LTD. ( WEEKLY REPORT. v (Special to tlie Horowhenua Chronicle). Wellington, July 131. , The potato market is much the same as last week, there bo J ing a fair demand, with supplies -J freely coining forward, and prices remaining unchanged, except for a slight weakening tendency. New potatoes from J Auckland came to hand during the week and were readily cleaved at satisfactory prices. There is still a good demand for seed lines, and prices are unchang- ] ed at last week's rates. Poultry is still in excellent demand, ? turkeys especially being eagerly sought after. Pork | scarce, with a splendid demand at most satisfactory figures. Larger supplies of both these lines could be at ' very payable prices. Eggs show a change from last week, and prices are now somewhat lower. Grain remains practically unchanged. Chaff is slow of sale, supplies being well , maintained at same prices as I have been ruling for the last few weeks. FRUIT.--Apples are seam-, and meet a ready sale, there being very little fruit of any kind coming to the market. VEGETABLES. — Parsnips are in good demand, and high prices are being realised fur choice lines. All other vegetables meet a very fair demand. Choice cabbages bring good prices, but cauliflower are weaker. WOOL, SKINS AND HIDES. —The usual fortnightly sale was well attended by buyers. In view of the London sales showing a drop of id to jjjd per lb., prices liero were rather lower than last sales rates, but a good clearance was made at satisfactory prices.
