The Government has received information from Germany that Wilhclm Gerladh, who had been arrested bv the German authorities at Port "Said on a. charge of murdering the man Coleman at Dungog, New South Wales,- on November 19th. 1909, has been committed for trial. The charge has been reduced to one of manslaughter, because there was no evidence to show flfoat th crime was premeditated. The delay in the matter had heen caused by Gcrlach's solicitor lodging a ploa of insanity which had necessitated the prisoner being lodged in a hospital for the insane to und«r----o;o menial examination.
