"MILL HAND" RETURNS.

To the Editor, _ Sir,—l want to know what right "OtaJd Elector" has to rob as of our honest dues? lie says that Byron Brown, lias described Otaki "as tho most driinkon towai for its size in New Zealand," and goes on to add thatsuoh statements as those cause Otaki to stink in tho nostrils of tho Palmerston people. Otaki is ,a drunken place, I know, that's why T shifted out to Shannon. But I say, as T'vo said boforo, that Shannon is' tilio most boozing town in Nov/ Zealand. bar none—Mid Foxton comes second. I protest, sir, Against Shannon being robbed <of it's hardearned reputation. So far as the election is concerned thero are only two men in it—Robertson and Byron Brown. That's what the enlightened elcotors of Otaki say, and I'm glad to congratulate them on their wisdom. As for your correspondent, "Young Man," if he goes on the way he seems to be going on, he'll become "an old fool" in tho process of time, ami that's what I say—chanco the ducks.'—Yours, etc., MILL HAND. Shannon.
