Inspector Wyatt lias been awarded 300 dollars and costs in a, slander case against Mrs Proudlock, who was recently convicted but subsequently pardoned, for the murder of a man named Stewart. The oause of the action was a. letter written by Mrs Prowl look to a London newspaper, alleging illtreatment of native witnesses.
