FARMS OF THE DISTRICT.
HOW THEY WERE MADE.
A HISTOBY OF DEVELOPMENT.
The country newspaper should be wide in its treatment of .news and cognisant of tlio developments outside of the particular centre of population in which its office stands. There is news and general interest to be found a/nd felt in the farms and the settlements of "further back" j.ist as much as in the doings of the town. It has be en recognised everywhere that the fanner takes interest in the town events, but not so much recognition i,n the doings and experiences of the farmer : in his history and his experiments ,his ventures and bis results. It is in recognition of this fact that the " Ilorowhenua Chronicle" Inns begun its present series of articles, descriptive of the leading forms and iarmers of the country.
