MAORI GIRL’S DEATH
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) TAUEANGA, Nov. 13. The death occurred in tragic circumstances of Heui Ohia, a Maori girl, aged IS, apparently due to poisonj jng. The girl lived with her grand- ' parents, wbo were very fond of her. ! Bhe went to a dqnce on Wednesday. ' She was apparently quite happy and i wished to marry a young Maori. The i graiidparents would not give their consent. Yesterday she rose at six and did not do her customary work. Upset at repeated refusals, she threatened to take poison. The grandparents attached no importance to her statements, About eight o’clock she was found in pain. She showed no signs of recovery during tho morning and a doctor was called, but the girl died before his arrival,
