MAORI MEMORIAL DAMAGED.— The life-size figure of a Maori chief, at the foot of the column supporting a statue of King George V in the Government Grounds at Rotorua, was knocked off its pedestal last Weekend and broken into several pieces. The memorial was unveiled by the Duke of York in 1927.
