KURANGAITUKU CUP
The Kurangaituku Cup, the chief trophy at the recent Rotorua basketball tournament, and for which the Napier and Wellington teams tied, is at present on view in one of the window* of McGruer's, Napier. The trophy, which is of a most unusual kind, is a very beautifully carved cup. standing about 2 feet 6 inches high, and having a bow] with a diameter of about 15 inches. It is of kauri, the name of the trophv being engraved on a silver plate inserted at the hase of the trophy. The typical Maori design and the splendid carving combine to make the trophy one of the most valuable offered for competition for an. sport in the Dominion, and will no doubt be greatly prized by the club winning it each year.
